Gea Viva - eco island retreat

Eco living and a deep connection with nature.

At our eco retreat camp Gea Viva you will experience true and simple eco living, and immerse yourself in the beauty and peace of nature! Located in an olive grove, 15 minutes’ walk from the nearest beach and the harbour village of Milna, island Brač, Croatia, our spacious eco retreat camp is designed according to Permaculture principles. Usually, there are under ten people here.

In its centre lies a stone circle with carvings created to celebrate the power of the heart, a space to meditate and for events. Gea Viva also features a 100 m2 dome tent with a timber floor for dance, Yoga and seminars as well as a shady 10 m2 pavillion to relax during the hot hours of the day. Our facilities are complemented by a giant mosaic dragon and a permaculture garden in a Venus flower. Our smallholding has a wealth of olive trees, fruit trees, Mediterranean herbs, a donkey, a dog, a cat and chickens.

Gea Viva is off-grid and water is supplied by a rainwater tank. We have two screened-off outdoor showers, two compost toilets, solar panels to produce electricity and a shared outdoor kitchen, which is fully equipped and also has a fridge. With bare earth all around, this kitchen will, despite our best efforts of cleaning it thrice a day, never be as clean as the one in your apartment…

…and love or hate it, there are still all sorts of insects in nature.

Please note that we do not consume meat, drugs or alcohol at the camp.
